Kevin Howley (Ph. D., Indiana University, 1998) is Assistant Professor of Media Studies at DePauw University. Dr. Howley''s research and teaching interests include media criticism and analysis, media history, political economy, cultural politics, and emerging technologies. His work has appeared in The Journal of Radio Studies, Scope, Journalism: Theory, Practice, and Criticism, Television and New Media, and Social Movement Studies. Dr. Howley''s forthcoming book Community Media: People, Places, and Communication Technologies is being published by Cambridge University Press. A media producer and activist, Dr. Howley is on the faculty at DePauw University."
